Been playing .05/.10 for a couple months now, and am winning with consistency to the point where I feel confident enough to move up. Roll started at $30 and im up to 350 now, but I do not plan on moving up til I reach 400. I believe 16 buy ins should be enough.

From my research, I have found the only difference people say there is between the two limits is that 3-4 bets occur more frequently, and the general skill of the player is a little higher. I was wondering if anyone had any advice for me before I make the move up. Would be much appreciated. Thanks!

you'll notice a lot more people are floating the flop with A high etc... then if you check after a c-bet oop they'll pop the turn, and sometime shove the river. Overall they're a lot more aggressive, but still very exploitable. Also they tend to have seen one or two videos on CR/DC and understand that blind stealing and re-stealing is good, so don't be surprised when you call AI-PF with AA and they show up with 10Js or some random hand.

Just play tight at first, to get a good feel, if you're multi-tabling, shut it down to 4 tables max and take a lot of notes on the players.

Say this outloud! Why was six afraid of seven?......Because Seven Eight Nine

Bets are 2.5x bigger.

6max? TPTK isn't good enough to stack as often (usually is, player dependent obv), but continue to value bet and you'll be fine. 3-4bets don't happen more frequently, in what I've experienced (I'm not out of touch since I have friends that are going through this switch)

I would wait until 30 buyins though, even now I'm using a 40bi rule for safety. Being at NL10 and watching your roll crash at NL25 is not fun. Been there done that.

U believe wrong.

16 BI is a joke
wait till 25 BI minimum
30 or 40BI is much better though

yeah, like.. thats a small br for nl25

id just shudder to think about what happens to your young poker career if you hit some tough times

recommend at least 500 if not 625.. i mean, you dont want to really artificially create some huge roadblocks for yourself by going too soon..

TPTK as mentioned above usually isn't good enough to get it in Vs most - just more regs I guess. Most people 4 bet with AA/KK/AK only - obvious exceptions that are usually quite extreme. Stay clear of the really aggro regs (yes there are some) - at least have them on your right. 2 barrel more - expect people to float. I agree with the 16BI being too little - sucks balls to think you are a 25nl reg have a bad few days and find yourself back at 10NL - I suggest 20bi is the move down switch when you start - so get 24bi and move down if you slip down to 20.

Mkay, maybe ill just keep hitting the soft .05/.10 for a while then until im up around 750 or 800 then, thanks

Was eager to move up mostly to find a little more competition and improve my game, but I understand bankroll management is a necessity not to be taken lightly, so I may wanna hang out for a while then.

regs are shit. I'm stuck at 25 cuz i keep tilting like an ass. A lot of regs 3 bet too much its obvious and most of the other regs play robotic like. Play with good fundamentals, don't try to bluff people off over pairs @ nl.25, and dont tilt, then it's auto trip to nl 50. But ye, wait for 600 br at least, if you're unlucky, you're going to have to play a lot of volume with all the bs suck outs that go on in 25.
