I decided to overbet shove the turn because he only had like 60c more than pot. I assume his calling the 3bet puts him on any PP, AK AQ etc, maybe even AJ AT because he's pretty aggro (don't have hud stats). Is this is a manageable turn shove given his stack size or should I be trying to factor in getting his whole stack in on the river by underbetting?

True, but I meant moreso in relation to my stack/the pot. Either way, I'm just looking for feedback on my bet sizing.

I don't think your bet sizing matters that much TBH as long as your getting it all in on this street or next.

1 he's not a short stack
2 bet like $2.25 and get the rest in on the river

any bet size from 2.30 - all in is perfectly fine here.

this is all imho, but a bet of $1.50 is much more +EV than open shoving your stack. just think in terms of percentages and also your perception in his eyes.

he might call an open shove 50% of the time

if you manually made a bet of $3.50 instead of shoving (which accomplishes the same thing) he might call 55% instead, as it doesn't look as strong as having a bid wad of chips in front of him. so where possible, imo, its better to bet the amount he has rather than just going all in (if he's shorter than you).

i like $1.50 -> bet him all in on any river since he's rarely folding the turn to a halfpot bet on that turn card, and he's going to be massively committed and rarely fold any river card no matter what as well. u could even go $1.25 if you wanted and get away with it.

but if you want to make sure he's committed then bet $2, but i wouldnt go higher than $2.

its a 3bet pot so draws are <10% of his range here so "protecting" from them isn't an issue really. ur going to get it in no matter what

Look at the range of hands you put him on, "PP, AK AQ etc, maybe even AJ AT". You are way ahead of it, and if you bet for value you are more likely to get a call. A shove will give most of his range an easy way out and the small portion of that range that is ahead of you an easy value call.

I'm glad I posted this. Thanks for the insight, guys. Looking back on it after a night of sleep, I think I really would have liked to see an underbet on the turn as lachlan said.
