Id generally consider myself on the unorganized side. I noticed I am really inefficient at getting myself to review my own hands and my database in general.

What do you guys do to analyze your hands and improve outside of the game?

Also, does anyone has an excel template for EV calculations with some advanced ones that I might not be familiar with they wouldn't mind sharing??

As I am playing, I keep notepad open. Any hand I am not 100% happy about I copy and paste the hand, and continue on with session (I will also usually write basic stats on villain and any specific reads i have at the time) Anything that I am not sure if I played it correctly, I will copy. After I have had a break and after session, I go back to note pad, and look through the hands. Then I go into PT3/HEM (whatever you use), and just scan through and hands that I have lost money on, and see why and how. I also scan through big pots and see if I wont them correctly or sucked out on someone etc. Then I objectively look to see if I played it correct or if not, how to improve. Then I would write some points down about certain aspects that I need to improve. Before next session, review them points and try to set some positive goals using them. Review goals at end of session and adjust accordingly if met or not met.

Repeat.

I am a degen. Do not believe in any of my advice.

Yeah I basically use the same methodology atm. I keep notepad open and review it afterwards.

However, what you said about...

"Then I objectively look to see if I played it correct or if not, how to improve. Then I would write some points down about certain aspects that I need to improve"

...Is what I want to improve on. The approach I take in analyzing my hands...I think it can be more efficient. Ideally Id like to take a math based approach to the game but taking that approach is easier said than done.

notepad wtf ?
you only need to mark the hand in the HEM handhistory at the table while you are playing, and then you mark ''only show marked hands'' when you finish the session

Dont listen to anything I say
