Do Blizzcon 2008 cards not grant you immediate access to SC2?

I found this message on an ebay auction:

"AT THIS POINT,THERE IS NO GUARANTEE THAT YOU WILL GET IMMEDIATE ACCESS TO STARCRAFT 2BETA. INVITATIONS ARE SENT OUT IN WAVES NOW THAT THE BETA HAS STARTED."

You have to input the key and your info then you get an email from blizzard with a key for beta, I've heard of this taking up to 2weeks after inputting the key.

We have now sunk to a depth at which restatement of the obvious is the first duty of intelligent men.
