I have been tilted for some 10 days now.
The higher amount of money makes me feel 'committed' and I close my eyes and 3barrel no matter what the board brings way too much.
I also hd a period where I called all hands instead of 3betting them in blinds ...eww
The tables make me also play very aggressive preflop with some 28/25 my average VPIP and 34 +on some tables (not due to tilt, simply because of the player composition), and it took me a lot of $$$ to get used to the endless trapping and light call downs from regs.
NL50 regs aren't capable of calling down a midpair, or raising TP decent kicker for value, and are ridiculously polarised all the time, but NL100 regs can do that indeed. The result of this is that I felt tilted during all my sessions and am doing ridiculous stuff and spew all over the place.
The counter is obvious - play as aggro preflop as the table permits, and turn into a passive nit postflop due to the 'level1' adjustment based on PF stats as I believe that only a handful of regs watch all tables and make notes like I do, and they don't adjust preflop well.
That shit ain't easy though after my total ownage at NL50. I simply got used to win 60% off my sessions and rarely have a losing day way too much.
Hopefully I will soon stop tilting, use my image to my advantage and get the fuck out of the break even realm.
Graph for you Graph Monkeys (the -EV was balanced by setups, so I don't run good nor bad). The result are actually good, but I feel real bad about my game right now and if it was -15BI I wouldn't be surprised at all.
it
P.S. also, some 1800 VPP to go this month, hopefully I will make

100NL is not much different from 50NL. Dont outlevel yourself and i would move down if your confidence/emotional state fails. Not moving down if a shot goes bad is probably a big leak. |

Yeah I was like wtf after my first 1k hands, 2 hours and -8 Buy Ins.
The thing is that I am over rolled even for NL100, and playing NL50 (after I was playing it for 3 months because of the goddamn January that doomed sale and my adjacent 30k hand challenge) simply seemed like a waste because:
- I still had 63BI
- I was beating NL100 over 10k hands at 9BB/100 during Christmas Holiday (Completely different story though, my performance is 300% better when I don't work)
- I knew I can just grind it all back at NL50 if needed thanks to my just finished challenge.
I will still probably not move down unless I lose more than 13BI from where I am now... Despite making less than at NL50 lol.
I also need VPPs to keep my SN this month and NL100 is much easier limit to do so |

How does your bankroll affect your playstyle? You said you are nervous or something playing at NL100 but then say you are also overrolled and wouldnt even want to move down b/c it would be unnecessary and a waste of your time. If you are still emotionally affected by money, whether it's large and you play loose, or small and you play tight, just do the opposite and balance it out. I for one play better under pressure. A large bankroll makes me reckless and I am willing to "pay to see" and "try new things" to explore my game. If my roll is too tight, like 2-3 BI's left I get tilted/hopeless and figure "well im about to bust, might as well put it all on the line and try to run good". I mean, sounds like you are 5-10 BI's shy of a decent NL200 roll. Have you ever tried taking a shot? Might be beneficial for you. |

The real gap is beetween 100 and 200 imo.
You just have to play more hands to be confident enough.
Oh and If you got 6300 $ you're not rolled for nl200 imo
(I've got 10k€ + and I still play nl 100 , but I'm a nit , and I live from poker)
40 BI is a good amount I guess. |
