So started poker this week and was recommended to keep a blog. Started with 20$, went down to 15 playing 1.10$ tourney's then played a .10C tourney and won it which put me to 24. I then did some more 1.10$ rebuy which I just lost all those and went to 21$.
Played a couple sit n go tournaments that didn't go to well and put me to 18. Played a 2.20 tourney and if I hadn't made a stupid call all I needed was 10 more spots before I would have at least won 4 dollars and I had a good pot size but blew it like an idiot. So I end my first official week down 3 dollars and 90 Cents. The good thing about this is I have learned a lot the past few days when I have watched some video's on youtube, read a ton of articles and I can see where a lot of my flaws are.
I have been told to put more then the current amount of money I have but I don't have it so that to spare as I am just a senior in high school with a minimum wage job and can't afford to put more then 20$ in for now may be able to put another 10-15 in another week .
Hoping to put my new found knowledge to the test tomorrow and actually win some tournaments always feels good to win one even if you only get like 10$ .

$20 is fine to grind NL2 with. But you wish to walk the path of donkaments, so, good luck to you. |

that's really good that you're about even after your first week. I know after my first couple weeks, I ran $25 down to $4 playing nl2. Keep up the good work! |

good luck but don't focus too much on how much $ and cents u have, just develop your game through reading articles and play monster hands and play in position most often than not. Try playin sngs at the beginning, u can easily develop a gameplan and stick to it and learn to play multiple tables while getting used to the game. |

i would suggest watching a ton of video guides , if your going the tourney path i would suggest going the cash game path instead because cash game players are cooler. But if you still want to stick to tourneys, then learning ICM is the 1st step to crushing tournaments. Also, when playing 180man's you must be going for 1st place. If you find yourself holding on till 18th it is the wrong way to play tournaments. |

Yeah I have started doing Cash tournaments today and so far I went from 15$ to 51$. I am enjoying those alot more as I seem to win those more and I can leave whenever I want ^^. I watch videos/read guides a ton thanks for the advice :D |
