i just watched the entirity of FF9 on youtube. it was "ok" but not very good. the characters were pretty dull and verrry simplistic, the dialogue was pretty dull and simplistic, the world wasn't very interesting (and you spend half the time going back and forth between the 2 same cities which i hate in a game or book). the skills werent very interesting (no limits -.- ).
story-wise it was okay, interesting enough, but some parts didnt seem to fit in well (like when zidane suddenly starts acting weird, or when steiner suddenly begins to fancy someone). stuff seemed to just happen without much grounding, which took you by surprise and felt like it didn't fit.
the ending was solid and nice.
i started watching final fantasy 13
in the first hour they have used the word "hero" about 10 times in silly phrases like "i'm the hero!". other than that EVERYTHING IS SO FUCKING EPIICLLY AMAZING.
the voicec acting is SOOOO GOOOD
the animation is movie-quality (or better), the expressions on the characters are supurb
the characters are actually pretty awesome!!!!!!!!!

there are soo many cut scenes i loooove it
(the combat blows, too many fights, but its not that bad)
within 1hr30 theres a (firework) scene thats sooo good it makes u wanna cry already!!!!!!!
ff13 so far is a perfect blend of scifi and fantasy and mystery
i can seriously see this as becoming one of my favourite games if it keeps up like this

Haven't tried ff9, i just thought after the ff8 it would have gone downhill. So i stayed to ff7 untill i tried ff12 which wasn't bad really contrary to populiar belief... I tried the ff10 but went meh within the firsts hours because it looked so fucking retarded. Either you play the sport with the same style again and again or you got for the story but there was just too much of lovey-dovey shits. I got really tired.
Sure ff12 isn't really far from being like ff10 but i found it mature enough, plus the combat system was pretty good (too bad it had like 90% of useless gambits, still the 10% make it up for what it's worth).
Will probably give it a try now that my motivation went up because of you !

why would i watch it instead of playing? well i watch it because i want to follow the story and characters. i dont really give a shit about finding items and levelling up, done enough of that in my life (altho ff13 is making me wanna play just so i can control that sexy titty little girl) :/ i just wanted to watch the story and some of the quests, whats wrong with that? its basically like watching an epic long fantasy movie.

raiz you should definately watch ff13 in HD on youtube. .i thought about "waiting" but honestly when the fuck am i EVER going to get a ps3 or xbox? ff13 has a cut-scene every 5 minutes and the ingame graphics are....the same quality as the FMV, so its literally like watching a long awesome movie. the only time you dont think you're watching a movie is in a battle, and you can skip past those (there are too many in ff13).
give it 20 minutes and you'll see how AWESOME it is to watch people playing games

ff9 is okay to watch but the guy who uploaded it is the most ANNOYING PRICK EVER and doesnt stop talking for ONE fucking second, he has some retarded remark about literally every single line the characters say. GOD you cant believe him, i had the whole game on mute then went somewhere else to watch the game finale with sound.
its really easy to get it working on a playstation emulator so id recommend that.
i played ffx but loathed the combat system and ran away from every battle. eventually i got to this boss that i couldnt kill coz i was so weak, and couldnt backtrack to level up, so i stopped playing . then my disc broke. i never thought it was lovey dovey or annoying, im probably going to watch it on youtube after ff13
i played ffxii for an hour but didnt know where to go or got sent on some retarded "kill x" quest so quit it :/

playin FF13 on 1080p was AMAZING.
so amazing it made my head dizzy after a few hours, so i had to take a bunch of sessions to play it.
