Hey everyone, I'm going to the Walker Hill Casino in Seoul at the end of this month, on the weekend of the 30th, and I heard there's a good run of tournaments and cash games that weekend. Is anyone going or has anyone gone to Walker Hill? Are the players there any good? I hear there's a guy who finished 29th in the WSOP main event and another guy who's made a ton of money and is considered to be the best Korean player in Korea (apparently he owns the poker room in the casino and wrote the first Korean poker book). It will be my first real live tournament [edit] by "real" I mean medium-stake--obviously not my first real tournament, but most of those are for $50 and under [/edit] (buyin is like $250~ USD?), but I think I can take it down. The competition in the town I live in isn't really strong and I've been crushing them pretty much every week since I got here 3-4 times a week. Is the competition much better in Seoul? How well do the good players there understand the game in comparison to an average pro?
Thanks for the info!

Nice, I've been completely wrecking shop on the guys down here in Changwon--lol 3-4 tournaments a week for 20000 or 50000 won buyin and I take first every time for the past month and a half or so? Bankroll has been covering my entire living expense here because it's basically free money.
Thanks for the confidence boost, I know the casino there can't be much better than the competition here if one of the fishes here took third in a $250 event :D. Time to run sick on people! |

hmmm theres a few good players i think... but usually they dont care much for this tournament because they usually play pretty high stakes so theyll buyin and gamble early to try chipping up or go broke, usually most of them bust out early and return to cash games. |
