Playings tarcraft solely for money is a huge waste of time. Wat does second get? Third? Etc. It only becomes worth the time for the top two. Prize pool would need to have a couple hundred thousand dollars more to be worthwhile. |

500k$ is pretty decent for a freeroll of a field of 64 players imo |

Uhhhh ya that is amazing. Anyone who plays should have played. Competition will be softer because game so new too. Didn't realize prize pool so large. |

The GSL Tournament right now
total prizepool is 170K USD
1st 85K USD
2nd 25K USD
3rd 8.5K USD
4th 8,5K USD
5-8 place 3,4K USD
TOP 16 1,7K
rest of TOP64 = couple hundred bucks
Field was 2000 players and TOP 64 get in the money
500K USD$ is just what they plan to have in the future !
Chance of Rekrul to get TOP64 is 10% at best.
Chance to get rd place TOP3 is like 0,01%
Chance of Rekrul making 10K in 2-3 good days of poker = much better
Rekrul and SC2 = waste of time |

For all those doubting, an American player named Torch, who not a single person on teamliquid knew, made the round of 64
If you played protoss and had a couple of creative timing pushes you could perform with efficiency, I can see someone making top 64 fairly easily
Oh, and if you are terran, GG tournament |

Money won divided by hours practiced. I bet 95% of the field will have an hourly of <$5 |

Yeha its so easy to make TOP64 by using timing pushes as Protoss
thats why Grrrr,Nazgul,Jinro and Smuft didnt make it
should have told them what to do ^^ |
