Not in a rage but just a lil upset.

4th trip in the past 2 months going to my semi local casino to play the 1/3 nl live games. First few sessions went ok with nothing big happening, winning like 80, then 150, then like 72.

But this trip i just got back from, fucking -455. Fucking hyper fish on my direct right and all the others pretty much fish. Fucking couldn't turn a fucking profit isolating the fucking hyper fish like 1000000 times with hands that would dominate his hands like 90% of the time. Fucking card dead and lose with all my big preflop hands (yeah i know typical story).

But yeah, not too bad but still little upset, net loss from all my trips is prolly around 100-150. I think i have been playing well for most of the time. Ionno if i wanna take a break for a month or until i'm completely rolled (6k-8k in checking acct?) or/and just come back to grinding soft nl 10 pokerstars tables just for some semi-relaxing fun poker.

Anyhoo these blogs are ment to vent and make people who are also going through misfortune to feel a little better about themselves.

Playing live is easy.
Live feels like playing while online feels like work.
Playing stuck during live games sucks.
Variance poos on my face.

Yours truly,

Some dude...

If your story is true (i.e everyone playing was a fish) then whats the problem? I don't understand people who more or less complain about people being bad "omg the fish just called with crap hands all the time..." "fish just got lucky" etc. We all know about variance, just grind it out and you should be a big winner in the end.

well said.

I can see where you're coming from though. It's annoying when they hit more than they should. Oh well...just keep grinding.

You see...whenever I start feeling sick...I just stop being sick...and be awesome instead...true story...

lol i'm just venting. Losing 450 when you I could have been up like 600 is just annoying regardless. I should be a big winner but it's going to take some time. Playing live has slightly more variance but much bigger rewards because the fish are so bad and there are so many of them but you have to play tons and tons of hours because you obviously can't put in as miuch hands at a time as you were to play online.

You really don't know what you mean when you say just grind it out in terms of live -_-. My significan't edge won't be guaranteed to show a big profit until going like atleast few times a week several months from now. Especially when the retarded fish that stacked me was taking atleast 45 seconds for every fucking decision and he slowrolled some guy with the nut straight on the river for no fucking reason. You can have like 5 hour sessions where you don't even play more than 250 hands and get shit cards then got to drive an hour and half back home at the end of the day lol.

well i would like to have 6-8k but I just had like around 3.5k. I might wait until 6k but that's gonna take a while only working weekends as a waiter earning 17$/hr. Maybe i'll just wait and gind nl 10 until so which would be until like early next year. But hey, it's hard to pass such easiy investments .

talking about q/3 btw, i could play 1/2 but that casino is 2hrs drive away . only worth it if you know the poker traffic is good.

where are you located?

Looks like you were just booking small wins before this 'disaster' It looks like you are looking at it as the monetary value rather than the number of BBs. A solid player should be booking 1-2 bi wins somewhat consistently. You most likely have an edge but it seems you may be playing scared money and chased that loss. Winning 70-150 is like almost peanuts BB wise. Think of the expenses for traveling and opportunity cost by playing this game. If you end up making $40 after expenses in 5-6 hours, I don't really see the point.

phil hellmuth is genuinely a stupid person and he does not understand poker very well at all - [vital]myth

other sessions were like no more than 2 hours, last one was around 4 hours, it takes prolly around 18$ gas money wise to make each trip.

Lol everyone knows what a solid player should win, and no I was playing scared money but was somewhat chasing losses. If the hyper fish wasn't playing on my immediate right I would've left earlier. But yea 1-2 bi's most likely after fucking variance off with a few hundred hours of play. I just started going semi regularly.

Last time I went to a casino, we got there around 10pm. Sat there for a solid 11 hours. There's always a ton of fish at the casinos. If you don't get drawn out on consistently you can make good money. You just have to wait for a hand........
