If you leave the topic empty while creating a blog, the entire blog gets wiped out! 13/10/3 is apparently losing strategy vs 40/5/0 players. Gonna run a test. I am playing only JJ+ and AK+ for 1000 hands. GOGO!

Well it worked.

Was actually down a buyin for the first 600 hands, when AA lost to 64 (bottom pair call down to hit trips on river) and AK lost to AJ aipf.

My problem right now is just the variance at these stakes. Even playing JJ+ is still swingy. I never had swings like this at higher stakes, I just dont get it.

You think I should stick to this? The 16/11 strat only seemed to work when I ran well. At 4/3 every hand is automatically runhot.

Why would you stick with this, thats hardly fun and you will just hate poker....

Quit fucking around, stop that multitabling rush poker bullshit and stick to one limit and game, 4 table, pay attention to villains rather than being so self-centered and enjoy poker as a game not as a gamble

Really I think thats your problem, you think only about yourself and change your game every week and try to find that magic pill. But you know what? There isn't one. Stick strictly to one limit, focus on each and every opponent and every hand, see how THEY play and adjust to them individually.

You are clever and a deep thinker, you will eventually find a strategy against anyone if you pay attention to THEM and I am sure you will find that at some tables against some villains you can only play JJ+AK and you can raise 100% of hands against others.

you need to suck it up and play proper 4 table normal ring games if you ever want to learn how to play poker, enjoy poker, and make a buck but you refuse to utilize discipline or the insights people give you about poker

I type up and erase so much useful advice to you because I know its going to fall on deaf ears + you never respond to people trying to tell you how much time you're wasting dicking off

hate to be a bit harsh but u need a reality check because it doesn't seem like you and poker are in a healthy relationship right now

anyway I'll leave you alone until you start playing proper 4 table poker.

good luck to ya

Well I am trying to be disciplined in certain ways. I mean I'm putting in volume, over 30k hands in a single month with more to come, which is like a huge milestone for me. I am playing a 4% vpip game for christ's sake lol, tell me that doesnt take discipline! No single buyin shots at NL200, no CAP games, unless I get really tilted, and I've only slipped once so far playing NL50 HU. I am applying the advice on how to play certain hands in certain situations. The reason I'm not 4 tabling NL5 is because I just dont see what the point would be. Playing JJ+ is not real poker. Thats all I would really be doing in normal ring games anyway, value betting strong hands and nothing else. So why not do that where I can make 5x the normal hourly rate? Once I start playing NL25, where I can book $100 week if not more, then I can start focusing on how to extract the most value out of certain opponents. I mean it's not like there's a shortage of fish circulating positions around you at micro rush games. Seems like a pretty good spot to gain experience value betting under a variety of circumstances.

You agree that most winners will have between 0-6bb (0-3ptbb) winrates right?

Use that calculator, pop in 1k hands and run 1k trials. Put winrate at 10bb (a really really huge winrate and probably unsustainable at higher limits barring massive table selecting). Leave standard deviation at 80bb unless you want to use your own standard deviation from HEM.

You'll quickly realize 1k hands literally means nothing even if you're a gigantic winner.

Ok since I got a reply :

The thing is you will learn much more if you don't play rush poker. Its difficult to learn how to make reads and proper adjustments to each opponent when the table changes around you literally every hand. You also should be taking a much more long term look at it, rather than thinking of what kind of hourly you can make now. Which is like what? $8 dollars an hour with rakeback if you are crushing nl5 for 7.5ptbb and playing 1000 hands an hour? All while learning nothing about the game. Need a longer term look out. This is a very important idea; I'm only just breaking the trap you're in with this thinking and I was already capable of beating nl25 when I was in this extremely detrimental mode of though.

If you're worried about building a bankroll to move up in limits, don't be, because if you are 4 tabling ring games and actually thinking, learning, and beating the games, you will certainly win enough money to take 2-3 shots at a higher limit each month.

I actually just started doing this. They seemed rather unnecessary when you're playing for value anyway. I mean if I bet bet bet with AA and get slowplayed by a set I was never folding anyway.
