Sucked worse than the first time
Like an idiot I convinced myself I was a boss cause I could rape NL 10. Played too long, tilted too hard, not to mention just played flat out bad.
I feel like OOP I get floated like every single hand. Nobody can fold their draws ever and they always seem to hit.
Yeah I ran like 3BI under EV but regardless I am clearly still a loser. I'm not making any excuses.
Fact is, I'm just bad. End of story. I'll listen to whatever anyone says and I don't think I'm going to comment on hands anymore cause obviously I don't know what I'm doing. I'm definitely missing some sort of key information required to own this stake.
Time to drop back down and work back up in fishville.

I'm in the same boat, but I'm still sticking around NL25. Either PM me or msg me on MSN(jebus5478@hotmail.com) and I would be totally willing to help you out as much as I can. I'm in no way crushing the game, but I have noticed key differences between the 2 stakes |

Looking at your graph, it would appear as if you cannot fold. I know durrrr says "you cannot win if you fold" on TV, but its just a gimmic. :D
But seriously, I've always had problems folding but I've gotten better with time. You really need to learn to take those extra seconds to think "what can he REALLY have that I beat".
It is also possible that you are not good enough when it comes to betting postflop. I have previously had problems with knowing what boards to cbet on and when it is good/bad to 2barrel or 3barrel. Its possible that you give up too much after 1 or 2 barrels (possibly barrels you shouldnt have done in the first place). Might be worth checking.
gl hf, it will go better next time. |

Sucks to hear. I was rooting for you. But Im still confident you'll beat NL25 soon.
When I move up I usually make too big of a deal out of it. I think stuff like "Im playing NL25 now, the regs are much better here. They float flop and bluff-raise turn every other hand." etc. I dont know if you're doing this but if you are it would probably help to just view every NL25 player as you view your old NL10 fish with similar stats. The difference between NL10 and NL25 is probably smaller than you think so you might be over adjusting and just leveling yourself. |

this imo.
if youre getting run over for a little bit dont overadjust and tilt. thats what all bad regs do. just be patient and adjust slowly. |

I've also been having a tough time moving up to 25nl.
First few shots ended horribly, the last one actually went really well until I got cocky and cashed out to 35 buy ins, then ran/played worse downswing of my life.
I would be really interested in going over some hands, and some different things I've noticed and tried to adjust to.
PM me your IM info if you are interested. |

I've moved up to NL25 about 2 weeks ago. At first I was struggling to break even, considering NL25 to be much different from NL10 and trying to be overaggressive, 3betting too much etc.
After a few days I opened 12 tables and started grinding the same way I did with NL10. Right now I'm up 20 BI (but thats including RB, I dont have HM to check out right now) and the only difference I see is that there are more regulars at NL25, so table selection is more important. It may be EV+ to sit at a table with 5 regs, but it will be much more profitable if u leave and find a seat elsewhere. I don't make a lot of notes, but I do my best to mark as many players as possible with colors. TAG, LAG, fish, nit categories are all I need. I bet this will work out for you too at micros.
The bottomline is that IMO NL25 is not too much different than NL10 and if you don't make too much fancy play, you will profit. |
