Some first time Vegas questions... I'm going to be staying at the Mirage. I won't have that much cash on me, is it advisable to use ATMs to withdraw cash from my checking account? What casino has the best 1-2 game? Any other tips or advice for a first timer?

The only hands a nit balances in his range are the nuts, the second nuts, and the third nuts.

Venetian had tons of soft 1.2 games running last August. My wife cleared over 1k in about 3 days.

Now I really am a busto. Thanks FTP.

I have learned from poker that being at the table is not a grind, the grind is living and poker is how I pass the timeLast edit: 17/12/2010 22:02

1/2 is soft everywhere obviously

also you should check out a few cirque du soleil show, they're pretty awesome (fairly expensive though esp since you play 1/2 I suppose, but they're fuckin cool nevertheless)

also if you want to eat at a steakhouse without paying 100$ for ur meal, try the outback steakhouse on the strip right in front of the mirage I think, or maybe it's Treasure island I'm not sure

Im not sure what to do tomorrow when I see her, should I shake her hand?? -Floofy

i meant going to vegas to gamble for first time since i just turned 21 in october. my family goes to vegas almost once a year, so i've seen most of the shows. we'll also probably be eating at a lot of higher end restaurants but my parents usually get it all comped off and stuff, but i think i'd enjoy outback steakhouse more. i'm bringing only $600~ and hope i won't lose it all, cause i hear using the ATM charges high fees.

there's lots of fees, keeping ATM usage to minimum is smart imo
I've enjoyed playing in planet hollywood, bellagio and mandalay bay the most I think
bellagio is fun if you can outlevel a bunch of people with some basic poker skill

OMFG you're going to Vegas with $600? Save your money please. Not a troll post or to disrespect in anyway, Just saying do not waste your time. Whether luxury or gamble - it's like playing NL 200 online with a 1500 dollar bankroll. But if you so go have great time man and hope it works out - Wish I could give advice but I don't know a whole lot about the area outside of the casinos.

Fuck me

o'shea's has really good 1/2, even though 1/2 is obviously soft everywhere, just go play a session there, i promise you, it's not like your typical 1/2

Eh, I can go a few more orbits in life, before taxes blind me out - PoorUser
