I'm probably going to get a netbook since I'm on the road for like 10 weeks a year for basketball. Would a $200-$300 netbook be able to single table full tilt poker? I basically just want to be able to play big tournies like FTOPS and stuff while I'm on the road, I don't need to be able to multi table grind.
Example:

Also, if anyone can recommend a good one for under $300 that would be great.

to answer your question:
-Yes (search on 2+2, someone ran a test for 9-12 tables of stars. was successful)
didn't look at the link but i bought an asus eee(?)pc. Anything in that price range is fine.
I'm told avoid HP. |

thanks for responses, I had a laptop for the past 4 years and it broke. Now I convinced my parents to get me a desktop finally, but i have to get something portable as well and it has to cost $800 total.
I assume its much better to get a $600 desktop and a $200 netbook than just an $800 laptop if I might want to play starcraft as well as poker. |
