I PTR everyone I play HU against, even at NL2 just to make a habit out of it. They are all net losers at every stake. Most of them around -10 winrates or worse. What happens is I might steal 3 pots in a row with a cbet, but they make it all back by calling the 4th one when they hit, or I valuetown myself by binking TP on the river or something and they were slowplaying me all along. Then I'm back down vs them, and proceed to grind it back over the next 50 hands or so, and then lose in a similar fashion on the river. I just cant ever put anyone on anything is the problem. I'm reduced to clicking buttons and praying they either fold or call, depending on my hand.

I notice a lot of hyper aggressive players tend to do well in MTT's. Not sure why, maybe the aggression + FE is a huge edge with your overall EQ in the game and payout structure to move up slots. Cash also requires a lot of aggression, but seems to be tailored more around the "lay and wait, control and patience" type of aggression. I dunno, I'm probably talking out my ass here, just have to see.

DUH!!!!! I told you this ages ago..... Go play HU SnGs or MTTs. Capped losses my man, that's what you need, and you can gambol what you want.

I would go with HU SnGs as you get way more action and that's what you like obviously

And LAGs really do great in late stages of tourneys especially in low-mid stakes tourneys where everyone is nitty, but on the other hand you need a lot of patience in early stages and one snap spew fucks you up.

I play every tourney lage, through each stage lol. Go hard or go home if you ask me!
