So I'm actually looking at getting some sorta android phone. Any suggestions? What do you guys have, what has worked for you, what sucks, etc. I need advice. I'm still rocking a crappy old school blackberry on a prepaid card with no data plan. After using an android phone I can see a shitload of ways to make use of that thing, and I get all this sexiness without having to deal with apple and its fucking iphone.

Suggestions?

I'm a big fan of the Droid X by motorola, it might be a little big but I love that you can actually browse websites with it being not straining on your eyes. Operating system is simple and easy. Fast. Just love it. Battery life is great, just have to download the free app killer and you're all set.

I really like it, I use it both for work/personal stuff.

I've been using the HTC HD2 which is the sister to the EVO 4G for quite awhile now. It is the most pleasurable cell phone experience I have ever had, namely thanks to the 4.3" screen. The phone looked a little too big at first glance, but being able to surf the web without scrolling left and right or repeatedly zooming in to get fonts readable makes all the difference.

I've also used a Galaxy S and MyTouch 4G. Both are great phones, but I just cant drop screen sizes now that I've been spoiled. If you have yet to use a 4.3" screen, or simply dont care to, you will definitely like a GalaxyS/Vibrant or MyTouch4G type phone. They still feel big and provide a functionally useful web browsing experience while fitting nicely in your pocket.

It's definitely going to be a personal taste sort of thing. I probably spent like 4 hours in cell phone stores test riding phones over the course of a week before I could finally decide.

i have the iphone 4 and its very fast and works great except for making phone calls in low reception areas, but if you live in a city its pretty cool. I have not owned any of the android phones lately tho so i cant say iphoen 4 is better or not, but i do like it more.. and im not a phone or apple snob, i dont use macs in my day 2 day life but i just like this phone.

Its hard to make a easy buck legally, its impossible to make a easy buck morally.

I'm not an apply fanboy nor am I an apple anti-fanboy. I owned an Iphone before. I've also been super close to buying a macbook air several times. I must tell you. An HTC doid absolutely kills IPhone. Do not even consider IPhone. An IPhone is a gadget. A droid is a mini-laptop.

I'd get larger droids if you don't mind lugging a larger phone around. The bigger screen will definitely be nicer. If you do then go smaller. I have an incredible but I think there are probably better now.

Now I really am a busto. Thanks FTP.Last edit: 09/01/2011 21:20

Check out some of the phones debuted at CES that are coming out very soon. Some of them look amazing like the Motorola Atrix and the Samsung Infuse.

I'm picking up the HTC Evo Shift on sprint through Sprint this week. $70 a month for 500 min, unlimited texting, mobile to mobile, and data. As fast as the iphone 4 and with a much cheaper plan seems like a good deal to me with 4G to boot.

i hate apple phones coz they patent every fucking touchscreen technology(even if they've absolutely no plans of using them) trying to kill innovation and I dont trust them one bit. Their products are very solid though, especially this one. I like the idea of them going bankrupt so that everyone is doing innovative stuff and not just trying to circumvent present apple patents and technology. Thats why im not buying apple anymore tbh.

Have it, Desire HD, love it so far. Only thing i find a little annoying is having to "restart" like a computer in order to get programs work as fast as they were the first time i used them. But i'm pretty sure there's an upgraded version of it, or a driver which i haven't looked at it yet (lazy as fuck).

Shin-il : Yeah it was very very very good for me too. Rekrul : YOU MOTHER FUCKING FUCKING SON OF A BITCH
