It was pretty good. I can't stand it when these stars like Christina Aguilera and Chris Brown sing the national anthem and they end up doing too much. It's not a goddamn RnB or pop song.

Less than one percent of the population can hit notes in perfect pitch and succession like that girl does. lolamente @ camila. I seriously didn't hear one note that was off. Timing was perfect. Unless you want to give her singing lessons, or swab your ears don't talk like you know music.

So fewer than 3 million people in the US? Not the greatest ever but like 50x better than Christina Aguilera's, and not because she messed up the lyrics but because she has to completely change the song and sing a shit ton of extra notes just to show off her ability. It's our national anthem ffs, sing it like it was supposed to be sung not like how you want to sing it. That pisses me off..

i grew up in a family of classical musicians.. i have 6 brothers and sisters all of which play music (mostly classical, but some tried jazz and pop) along with my parents who are also musicians and living in an environment since early age of consistently going to music conservatories and concerts + studying myself for a few years i think gives me some credentials to talk about this girl

if she was a professional i would come to the point in saying she is bad but its obvious she is still an amateur and i really do think her voice can be awesome due to natural talent but she is lacking a LOT in studies making the song quite annoying to listen to imo.

Maybe there was something in her 'heart' that you liked and thus the song appealed to you, but technically she is really lacking.. sometimes i don't mind if technique is missing if the heart is there, the mistakes might even add to it for me showing she is human and not some robot pro but i didnt feel that in this song either... you can continue to try and bash me and whoever else did not like the song or you can maybe question the possibility that your hearing to music is not the most selective which might not be a bad thing if your satisfied as is...

I listened to that and I agree its great. But please tell me where you think she is off key. She sparingly adds in grace notes to her rendition, but keeps it as close to the original, which is what I enjoyed the most about it. She hits every single note perfectly, and I could find maybe one blemish in the song. I still can't fathom how you being a musician like myself, would think her singing was off key (or timing too?)
