i dont know how to do this, but why are you writing lots and lots of text in a single cell though?

also can u not just look in the formula bar, you can scroll through there.

Because the cell is linked with the rest of the row, and if i want to filter by other things in other cells in that row, if its over 2 cells down it gets messed up. (I can go wide. There may be quite a few lines of text in the cell.

basically not possible, u may get it somehow writing it in VBA and/or creating textboxes, but you would still have a hard time getting it to work properly with the rest of the sheet. if you really wish to do it anyway, i would work with some additional sheets and redirect to them

(1) Make the cell bigger
(2) Hyperlink the cell to a different worksheet and put the text there, and put a hyperlink back to main page.
(3) Change it into a comment so when you high-light cell, the text pops up as a comment.
(4) If the text is further characteristics, i.e black, tall, smooth etc, split add three additional columns for each category etc...

I can't say I've seen a scroll bar within a cell.

Thanks. I worked out a work around for my specific problem. But yeah you cant put scroll bars in a single cell.
