Hey,

So I finally got out of NL10 (Thanks to Arirang for all your help) and I was doing O.K. at NL25 until today where I lost 400$ in 2000 hands.

I feel like when things start to go bad, it never gets better, it only becomes worst as I keep playing.

So I was wondering what do you think is a good stop loss I could set for myself ? Because clearly I'm awful at playing when I'm stuck.

The thing is I don't have that munch time to play poker, so I feel forced to play every seconds that I can because otherwise I'll never get out of this shithole that is the micro stakes. But then again if I keep playing worst when I'm losing I won't progress either...

If you feel yourself tilting, I say stop immediately. If you feel you are still playing well(be honest with yourself about it), then I say stop at 3-5

This is nitty but i stop at 4 and don't play the rest of the day
the old adage that you play worse when stuck and better when winning comes to mind

If I hit 6, I usually take a break and try to determine if it's how I'm playing that is making me lose. 25NL is a demon to people who have been grinding 10NL (talking from experience). I'm back to 10NL after getting crushed at 25NL again, but just remember the hard work that got you to 25NL in the first place and don't forget about it when you run bad or make a few mistakes. You're human and you're not going to learn unless you make a few moves here and there that don't work out.

shoving here as a bluff at 50NL is like explaning calcalus to a 6 month old cat wtf are you thinking - TalentedTom

Yeah, I remember getting crushed at NL25 constantly when trying to move up from NL10. We'll do another sweat session maybe.

when you get better with tilt control, you can let go of your stop loss rule and focus more on volume/practice

WHY U NO GO UP?

This shit's frustrating, I'm winning at the very least 75%+ of the pots I play but every single one I lose I get stacked.

I'M SO FUCKIN TIRED OF SUCKIN DICKS AT THIS GAME

winning 75% of the pots is probably a leak. youre probably being a huge overly aggro monkey.

what's your WTSD%? when i see graphs like this, its usually because i'm going to showdown too often, mostly as a result of feeling like regs are bullying me and trying to push me off lots of pots, even though that's almost never the case. don't feel so pressured to win every pot when you're taking your shots, just stick to your game and make adjustments as you see some hands at showdown and figure out what it is that everyone is doing differently at 25nl compared to 10nl (hint: its probably not much).

YO MAN YOU GOTTA LEARN THE HUSTLE MAN I KNOW HOW YOU FEEL AND IM LIKE YO I GOTTA STAY MOTIVATED CAUSE THESE COWARDS NEED TO GET STOMPED BOTTOM LINE -nolan

Probably cause all the times you lose you are getting stacked vs losing small pots.

WTSD% = 31.2
W$SD% = 50.6

But that is my game... Or it used to be I guess.

I haven't noticed that munch of a difference. There is less super easy to exploit fish and the table dynamics are "harder" since they're is lesser horrible players.

All of the "regs" are still very very bad tho and so am I. And I obviously ran really bad too to lose that munch in such a short sample.
