dunno if anyone else had similar results but i can say almost beyond the shadow of a doubt that exactly MSE was what was causing mass lag while using TN + Hud (am running vista32) , so if anyone ever has choppiness using tableninja or holdem manager, try unintsalling it (disabling in msconfig didnt seem to work)

cheers

shrug, ill have to use avg or something, although that has a history of causing enormous lag on my laptop on w7

Sounds a lot like your computer sucks balls as MSE is basically the least resource intensive AV out there. What is lagging your computer is probably the mass tables + Table + HUD, I know that my old 32bit sometimes had trouble doing much more then that.

I have learned from poker that being at the table is not a grind, the grind is living and poker is how I pass the time

must have been some kind of realtime protection? Could just leave it to scan when you are alseep

These days AVG is fairly ineffective from what I hear. ESET Security suit is my pick, but it is somewhat expensive.

yeah, i mean, i thought that highcard, but i think the specs rae good enough, 9800 nvidia card, 3.0 ghz core duo, 4gb ddr2 ram or whatever was good at the time

im not much of a computer guy, but everyone i talk to said my pc is more than enough (it was a wicked gaming pc when i go tit)

okay maybe not wicked, but it could run every game when i got it :S and it was meant for gaming !

i mean my laptop has way shitteir specs than my desktop and it has w7 and runs fine with all the above including mse

the tableninja guys on the forums did say mse specifically might cause issues with tn, also

have u tried adding those to MSE exception list? Because MSE is a balla antivirus, you dont want to uninstall it and put some junk instead.

Highcard   Canada. Mar 20 2011 15:30. Posts 5428

Yes your specs are good for a comp, there is no reason it should be slow. MSE runs at 5.333K memory and isn't doing a whole lot else. That is 1/800 of your memory power. So it is a fucked up software thing screwing your comp up and it probably is the crappy ninja people's software doing it

all you have to do is add TN.exe (w/e filename) to the excluded processes list in MSE, they say on it on the tn forums

Pls switch to WIN7 if you are using Vista now people, it's just a world of difference and everything works seamlessly

I've had problems with open office freezing up my computer with PS running... but I don't know if that's similar issue to this or not
