well, i'm back, kind of. i'm in school full time and i just kinda got bored of not playing (havent played since may 2010)

decided that i would be humble and start by getting $500EV at nl25, and $2000EV at nl50 (i haven't played these limits since 2008, so its a bit of an ego hit, but nothing i cant handle). i still have a fair bit of my roll intact so thats not really a big issue, although moving to nl200 may be, because i plan on paying for school and things over the course of this next school year and because im a pretty big br nit (definitely 20k minimum for nl200 for me.)

it took more hands than i expected, and even nl25 was more emotionally difficult for me than i expected, but i think it was good and i learned alot and it helped me adjust back in to poker

i might actually stay at nl50 longer, as you can tell my graph, i am on a bit of a heater, and i dont like leaving a limit on a heater, it seems really a good way to run into a brick wall

other than that, i mean, i think i can get back to my prime pretty quickly if i continue to play, but , being full time school, even last couple weeks i didnt play poker, i was just addicted to minecraft and playing that, but its sorta over now and i think im going to have a bunch of projects near the end of the semester.

anyway, cheers lp, as usual a tip of the hat to dryath and edzwoo who i owe everything to for not shunning me for having disappeared for so long

in total, i played 115.21 hours over about 25-30 days of play, starting FEB. 4. hourly is $25.85, EV hourly is $22.56.

(ps, those other hands were when i was trying to get tn working on my desktop again, obv)

Wow people can have winning blueline graph at Nitstar?! Nice volume dude. If you don't mind me asking, do you play 9m or 6m, and how many tables do you play.

i was 12 tabling at first, and now im 16 tabling, i am 9max only user ;o

i think i can add more tables as long as i keep my vpip a bit low (16 or lower). id like to cap at 18 tables or even add more if i can handle it. i used to have a 2 monitor setup where i showed a lot of tables and could see all, but this time i taught myself to cascade (since i was playing on a tiny laptop for a while) and i think it allows me to play more tables than a tiled setup because of the way it works.

i might do my own "rocko challenge" and do up 500$ nl25 and $2000 nl50 at 6max sometime, but for now im just gona stick to 9 max.

thats some sick hourly, how long do u normally play per sesh?

rockman255   Canada. Mar 20 2011 18:56. Posts 4471

however long i feel like

i usually snap quit if i misplay a big hand badly, and if i can i come back in an hour or i just call it for the day

but i can put in 6, 8, 10 hours on a weekend day if im up to it, sometimes as one long session, although normally i would break it into two like a morning and an afternoon one, i dont like playing too late into the night because it makes it really hard for me to sleep (like today im calling it around 6pm, but ive been at it since like 10am)

i only really play long sessions when i am doing good (or breaking even) because when i feel badly i usually stop quickly, and then usually my sessions will end with a small drop because usually i dont stop until something bad happens, and then i guess i "lock in" my winnings, i dont think its optimal, but it just works for me emotionally, im highly highly results oriented (ask edzwoo :S)

Good to see you posting and grinding again. I'll never forget the time you took to help me out that time way back. Best of luck.
