i've just been grinding 1-6 tables from nl50-100 because at the start of the year i basically realized that i can't become a good poker player unless i cut down on the tables and start playing properly.

I think my biggest challenge in beating this game is that i find it insanely boring to play most of the time. I've been trying to make poker more enoyable by doing other shit but since the earthquake happened, the casino/gym and a lot of places which i want to go to have been closed ever since!

V good results.

I'm interested in: what would you say are the main methods you used to improve? little bit of bluefire.. any other training or coaching or analysis?

bluefire is pretty much the only outside method i use to improve apart from sometimes posting hands on LP but that doesn't help much.

phil galfond is def the coach i've learnt the most from. jason senti is also great

the biggest way i improve is actually just playing poker. When i play poker i use very basic logic to increase my winrate. I don't play very fancy although i will do a jackhigh calldown if i think its profitable.

Examples: recently i've started minraising the button vs people with high 3bet percentages. Because when i get 3bet and i have a hand i cant play back with i only lose 2$ when i fold instead of $3. But people don't seem to 3bet much more even though im minraising instead of raising $3.

I also use pokertracker a ton to help me make stat based decisions. if someone is 2-3barreling a ton and i floated the flop with a gutshot or something i will raise turn if they barrel again every so often. And i'll definitely do it if i think they are making good folds.

I make a lot of notes on the regs that help me analyze their post flop range. For example today i played a pot where the villian got to the river with a bluff and a scarecard came down. But they actually gave up on the bluff without using the scare card even though it gave them higher fold equity. most regs should be betting a ton of their range including all their bluffs on that scarecard, and now the next time i get into that spot vs the villian i will know that their range is only some bluffs+strong hands instead of all bluffs +strong hands.
