Recently I've watched the second movie about the so called "Skulls" in Brasil - "Tropa de elita 2" and that's the reason to make this post.
I have never been in Brasil, nor I know someone from there, but especially the first movie was way too brutal, to the point that I thought to myself that this is just for the movie and not what's really going on in Rio De'Janeiro, but when I've read the comments about the second movie I got the motivation to learn "from the inside" if the movie (especially the first one) shows the real situation?I mean - all the corruption and kills?People dying in the gettos without noone even care... For those who have watched the film, you know what I'm talking about, so - is this for real?And have something changed through the years?

Im too hung over to develop but tropa de elite is very realistic on what has been going on in Rio between the police and the criminal factions for the last 20 years. The situation is slowly gettin better but Rio is still a very violent city esp in the poorer areas. |

"Elite World Cops" - episode 2, it's about the real BOPE.
"Ross Kemp on Gangs" - season 1, episode 2, about gangs in the favelas of Rio. I can recommend this whole series. |

its scary close to reality
but this is a reality middle - upper class person does not see
the 2nd movie even warns "although this movies seems close to reality, its fictional" since they got the stuff so close to what really happens |
