8 episodes. some were hilarious one episode not so much as it is hard to be funny doing a documentary but this guys insight is really some form of retarded, forrest gumpish genius lol
Ricky Gervais laugh is one i do only when Im almost in tears when I laugh, some find it annoying but im pretty sure it's not fake at all.
he looks at the old woman who passes by and says
"I bet she left her house when she was about, 10." ROFL

he's the funniest man alive. seriously, i've listened to all their old shows on xfm (5 season) then another 4 or 5 seasons of online podcasts. in total probably about 100 hours of pure genius. i dont think i've ever laughed as much. and the best part is that idiot abroad is probably the least funny out of all the shows/podcasts. honestly listen to some early stuff (their show on xfm - some london radio station) which dates back to 2001 i think, just after first series of office uk came out. karl initially was just their producer and then they realised what a genius he is and they'd just ask him random questions. and there's no acting etc involved. it's just karl being himself. i think i'd easily pay 1k just to go for a pint with him
Karl is one awesome bald headed, mong, twat with a head like a fucking orange. You should get their radio show from their XFM days and podcasts that came after. Gervais and Merchant got a lot of feedback etc back in the day saying that Karl is a character they made up and write scripts for as he couldn't possibly be real (he is and they don't). Amazing.
They have the Ricky Gervais show as an animated series now but I haven't seen it as it's just the original pod show but for TV. Filming for Idiot Abroad 2 is going on atm. If you read Gervais' blog (which I highly recommend to anyone remotely interested) Karl left him a pissed off voice mail the other day that Ricky put up for all to hear.

The fights between Karl and Merchant with Ricky as instigator are so hilarious. I agree that Idiot Abroad is probably the least funny stuff they do and it's still genius.
im still looking for their shows atm, have they all been animated already or they just picked the best ones? i agree that radio chatter amongst hilarious guys just talking is probably one of the purest forms of comedy and entertainment.

I honestly saw like one episode of his podcast with ricky and steve, and fell in love. After like 2 weeks I had watched everything they put out. I wish I had an IRL friend like karl. Life would be so much funnier
Its time to stop thinking like a bitch and think smart like a poker player - ket

Having never watched the animated Ricky Gervais show I don't know if it's word for word the podcasts or the best bits. They have been airing season 2 and HBO have given the go ahead for season 3.
its weird coz u need to hear Ricky Gervais sick laugh to make the whole bit complete for some reason.
