Since all I do is get sucked out on in poker, maybe I can have a little rungood at life this week. After being threatened at work I've been looking for another job, and have my final interview with a company next week paying A LOT more than I make right now. If I get it, I'd be making more money then I could probably ever make at poker so I could finally quit this faggoty fucking game and just enjoy life, having all my finances back on track again with money to spare.

LOL. Losing poker player complains about his financial stability. Love it. Seriously, get a fucking clue.

NeillyJQ: I really wanted to prove to myself I could beat NL200, I did over a small sample, and believe Ill be crushing there in the future.

I only play with what I can afford to lose. The debate has always been which I would rather do, job or poker. At the moment poker is a more attractive option. But if I get this new job then to hell with poker, not even worth the stress. I'd probably take some shots at midstakes eventually with my new-found income just to see what it's like and if I somehow became successful then the debate would be back on, but I gotta give up this fantasy of grinding out of penny stakes and actually reaching midstakes. I'll never have the bankroll at any given time to protect myself from a week's worth of variance at these limits, so I just end up going busto every time I try.

^ and after failing lowstakes, the best option you could go for with your hard-earned money is to blow it on midstakes shots with no poker knowledge to back it up? Way to go, mang. Just forget about poker, imo.

My favourite line is Bet/Fold. I bet, you fold.

I have plenty of poker knowledge, what I lack is a real bankroll. I usually roll myself for 10 BI's or so at NL2-NL10, whatever I'm in the mood for, but it's easy to lose 10 BI's when you're forced to stack off so frequently against droolers. I've played *some* midstakes, like 20k hands total lifetime over 3 years, and it's definitely different.

Anyway enough about poker lol, the whole point is that I can finally quit since poker will no longer offer any particular life advantages for me. Me and my g/f would have a combined 6 figure income which is plenty for owning a house, new cars, vacations, and raising children. I mean yeah making 500k/year beats 100k, but not if I dont really have a shot of getting there anyway. It removes the desire to pursue that dream and stick to what works, my profession. But until then I'm always going to wonder "what if" which is why I continue to play sporadically.
