Hey everyone,
A month after black friday, we have gotten our funds from pokerstars and still have 2 frozen sites.
The US government can capatilize hard on the $ capable to be made from online poker.
Right now is the best time to have your voice heard,
write your state congressman or president, or both.
Please, write how the shutdown of online poker has affected your life. How important is it for Americans, the economy, and what the US can do with the taxed funds to get out of the national deficit.
Its still legal to play online too guys - Hero's great atm :-)

I hope you guys take this seriously,
Hero Poker is very nice for the time being, and potentially the long run, but we need more places to play, with peace of mind and knowing the legality is 100% in tact;

This kind of strikes me like k2o's marijuana threads. Congressmen dont give a fuck about what we want, they only give a fuck about what they think will make them look good. Saying poker will pull us out of the deficit, and that poker is necessary for us to live, and that we need to play a game to survive, etc etc etc, will simply be laughed at. Just like k2o wanting to legalize drugs because it cures cancer and autism. What we really need to do is pursue the angle that these bans go against the grain of the constitution and the values of small gov't, and whatever other buzzwords are likely to connect with them personally to make them feel like what they are doing is simply wrong, rather than what we're doing is right. Dont unban poker because it's good for anybody, just dont ban it because there's no reason to in the first place. That would be my argument.

My congressman (John Campbell of California's 48th district) authored a bill about regulating online gambling. HR1174 if anyone wants to check it out, ima probably write him if i get the chance.
But, if I have learned anything after majoring in political science for two years, is that 1. we have no rights, 2. we are fucked, 3. no seriously were fucked, 4. regulation is going to take a LONG time, 5. when it happens we are still fucked
