I'm seriously thinking about quitting cash games and to become a MTT player...
I think I'm a little tilted, just ran 6bi under EV over 3K hands... tournments are much more soft. I have 30K in winnings in MTT's, while in cash games I have a little more than 3K

I have more passion for cash games, its the real game, but its so fucking hard sometimes.
I'm not a quitter, I have to think about this one.

Damn...

This post and your previous one makes me think that at the moment you have problem with the way your poker life is going.I don't want to sound abusing, but I have some observations on people at common and I think that if that's the case with you the best thig would be to just find something outside poker to raise your spirit, and keep the poker at the level it is right now.I don;t think it poker that you doubt for, so just clear your mind and tke the poker decisions later.

tournaments have the highest variance out of all types of poker, if you cant handle running 6bi over 3k hands, then there is no way you can handle tournament variane

This. If you have more passion for cash games and you can't handle variance making the switch will not end well for you

rake back for cash games is better than tourneys

in a tourney you can play for 3-4 hours and bubble for nothing

tourneys you can go on 100 buy in downswings (180 man sngs)

you cannot reload in tourneys (unless they are rebuys, obv)

tourneys, you cannot game select, table is luck of draw

i was a tourney player. i wish i spent more time learning cash.

maybe you should play low buy in tourneys and cash out money while learning more about cash game

as for tourneys, i OPR'd you and it says you have 30k winnings, 15kish profit, and i seem to remember you hit one score for 14kish, didnt you? so it looks like you can win at tourneys, although you are probably not as skilled in tourneys as you think. small sample size, one monumental score that represents 100% of your profit.

you should move to play the 4.40 180 man sngs and some $12 180s. and then keep playing 25nl and worry about 50nl when you are over rolled so running under EV wont tilt you

It's a psychological thing. You feel like you get more playtime for your buck, thus variance feels lower. Each pot lost in a cash game is money down the drain, which can be emotionally taxing if you are on a downswing like tutz.

bye now
