Hey guys I got a month or so before school starts and no job so i decided I might as well do something that I enjoy and that *might* be useful, so I decided to start playing poker semi-seriously.
With only 40$ on PS i figured I should start at 2NL and work my way up from there.
So after 3 days and being up only 3 dollars, I decided I wasn't patient enough to grind it out and decided to switch to SNG.
After 4 days of 8-12 tabling (bout 80 games a day) 1,50$ turbo and turbo knockout STT, I'm up to 115$ and now 8 tabling 3,50$ turbo sit n gos.
I have 2 questions.
First of all I'm using the 60 day trial of pokertracker, but there's something wrong with it, reports my net winnings for STT at 31,40$ but I'm up at least 70$, plus i lost about 10-15$ at MTT so it should be around 80$, do you have any idea why it would report my net won so low?
Secondly, I've seen a lot of articles have different opinions, what do you think is a good number of Buy-ins to move up?
Ah and while I'm at it, at what level do cash games start being a little more fun? I don't really like the 0,01$/0,02$ because it seems the only winning option is to be tight as hell and wait it out because everybody is calling as soon as they have suited connecters or any rag ace. Plus it's kinda hard to take a 6 cent raise seriously sometimes.

just move up when you feel like it. I wouldn't take a shot with less than 20 at higher SnGs |
