Yeah I didn't really like this evo. I rly tried to get into it, but it's just not the same when they r trying so hard to get sponsors/commentators can't say what they want so they have to recycle the same trash comments. It just feels like the magic is slowly waning due to them trying to be professional. There's no trash talk that gets people riled up, the commentators are way too conservative, and it's more like they are trying to turn fighting games into a sport... But these games are being uploaded round the clock w/ this cruddy conservative commentary through tons of sources like youtube, nico, ustream, jtv etc. etc. Honestly I think EVO is taking it for granted that the major reason people go to these events instead of watching them on justintv or some random shit is because of the environment which while still awesome is something that also must be maintained from the top level rather than just reliant on friends and family from a (imho) niche
and dying community.


It's just that I don't really feel that by watching this EVO now you can make somebody understand why these games are emotional and awesome, but than you watch the money matches between clockw0rk and neo and u r like wtf this is sick awesome + it becomes so easy to get people who have never been interested in fighting games interested.

Latif was such a baller, but i rly wanted poongko to take it down just cuz seth is a boss.

Super sad for Latif... Hes really making a name for himself these days which is nice.
