I like starting out everyone of my recent blog posts with the same line: It's been a while since my last blog post. But this time I can't really attribute that to laziness. Been hard on the live poker grind ever since Black Friday! Games are good! Still trying to figure out ways to play online thou. Most of my online poker grind time at home has been replaced by Starcraft 2 / Heroes of Newerth. Like many other poker players I know, I've also been looking elsewhere for new sources of income. I guess they call it "diversifying your portfolio". Started staking some good friends in some of the live games, which is nice because when I come home from a soft game it still feels like I'm grinding the game. Also, putting a lot of time and effort into a website that will be launching later this year. More on that at a later time

In the meantime, check out how good I'm getting at golf...

need to slow that back swing down some it will help you out a ton

good little trick is put a ball behind your club and when you take your back swing the ball should be rolling away not flinging... and i'm pretty sure your back swing ball will fly quite a ways haha i'm obv not a great golfer but its just a really solid tip that helped my game

cosmo you swing WAY TOO FUCKING FAST LOL. listen pretend the golf swing is a pendulum and the speed you bring it back has to be the speed you swing forward. also when you warm up i suggest you use these clubs b/c theyre easier: pitching wedge, 9 iron 8 iron. I also think the driver is fine b/c it doesnt take a lot of force with todays huge headed drivers.

New LP'er brag: I'm a 4 handicap and young coach (much better coach than player) - will trade golf lessons for poker lessons with any LPer as I just started poker and my first 100k hands have just shown me to be a bad new reg.

On that note Cosmo: Remember GASP - grip, alignment, stance, posture

More specifically from what I can tell in the video you need to:

*stand a little closer to the ball for a more compact controlled swing

*slow down your takeaway

*keep your head still (most people find this impossible because they don't realize it - so I advise people to clip a laser pointer onto the brim of their hat to see how much there head is moving - this works great for putting too - and if you have trouble stopping it tilt your head back towards your right shoulder about an inch, since it feels unnatural it will help steady your head, and some people also claim it helps with weight transfer.)

Golf is sweet.
