ok after i released my video (can be found here) ive done some freecoachingsessions with a couple of lp'rs to kinda get into the whole talking in englishwhilecoaching-thing and it feels pretty natural, i even tend to talk to much

ive done coaching in swedish before but the guys from LP that ive coached for free for a couple of sessions so far is Stroggoz, Highcard and Surprise and they all seem happy with the coaching, i asked them what they thought about the sessions to post their comments here but they all said such nice things it got kinda gay they can feel free to comment on the blogpost instead if they feel like they want to add anything!

but i think they really are happy with the sessions, and it felt great as a coach to feel appriciated and helpfull, and i found out i had more pointers/things to say then i thought i would

so i feel ready to take some students

my hourly this year is ~200$ and i feel like thats a good price for the guys over 200NL, if im getting a ton of interest and as time goes i might charge more as i evolve as a coach

but for now 200$ feels like a good price

and i kinda enjoyed haveing the session with surprise after all, since he is a microstakes player, it felt great to be able to help out with so much so im probably gonna be open to some smallerstakes players aswell even though i know ive said before that i dont want to coach people under 100NL as they can probably get the same help cheaper from other smallerstakescoaches

so i will atleast open myself for applications from smallerstakes guys, and ill charge 150$ for 100NL or under

with my coaching u will also be able to talk over hands when i got time on skype etc, and i think "my students" so far can give a +1 on this that ill be glad to help with questions on the side of the coachingsession

more information about me can be found deeper in this blog for those who want to find out more, its cool to ask aswell

on a sidenote, i also want to get PLO coaching from some1 good, im willing to pay a decent price for maybe a couple of hours sweat from a highstakeswinner, so PM me if ur up for it, prefered to be familiar with highstakesdeep aggro dynamics, as the games i play PLO now in easily gets 400bb deep, and are superaggro i want a coach who can handle that

as for results this month, month has been pretty good

+ Show Spoiler +

35k$, and up ~6k€ ~8k$ on an italian site i play on

looking to start more grind on ongame in the future as 5/10$ action seems sick good there

43k$ month feels good in just 40k hands, normally i play 60k ish hands/month, so feels nice to book a nice one even tho ive played alittle less due to travels etc

(took scubadiving certificate this month, was awesome)

so cliffnotes:

200NL+: 200$
100NL<: 150$

(prices are for 1 hour)

hope to hear from you all!

cheers

(edit i changed it to 150$ for 100nl and down instead of 100$ for 25nl'rs, i just felt that 100$ would be to cheap as its half of my hourly)

Sick graph, I can definitely vouch for longple as a coach. I think he has a lot of natural ability to teach, and that is separate from his poker skills and results, which speak for themselves really. When combined they are a great combo and I'd gladly pay the coaching fees if I was at the appropriate stakes.

the games you own at, end up owning you

good coach, explains his thought process with simple logic and is easy to understand.

longple is a random name, i picked it as a smurfaccount for BW back in the day instead of RataN

longple is from a hot girls screen name on my school when i was like 13-15 on a communitysite, so i picked it for iccupsmurfing and it stuck to poker instead of RataN, wich i used in the starcraft community for 10 years+

many call me longpie though, dunno why, it dosnt make much more sense then longple to me

just wondering, if you get a winning live poker player student that is familiar with online since my friends that played were all online poker players, how many session`s you think its needed to be at least breakeven on nl100 / nl200? thanks

longple    Sweden. Sep 01 2011 17:24. Posts 4472

onlinepoker is about experience, im not sure that i can make some1 not familiar with the games at all a winner in just a couple of sessions in decently hard games such as 1/2$ online

i think the best thing for you is to start of tring out 50NL and if u beat it, apply for my coaching if u get trouble with 100NL or 200NL later

Longple, I'm in finishing my business school degree and will be entering management consulting interviews throughout October. If I get a nice job with one of the major firms, one of the first things I'm going to purchase with my signing bonus is coaching from you. (Of course I'll promptly be working 80 - 100 hour weeks) - so there will be less time for poker, but I want to have a Longple edge when I do get to enjoy playing : )

haha this, my mind just got blown

Raising preflop more than 10% is somewhat wild. 5% is average. Less than 3% is passive.

This question may be good for others aswell, how are you coaching your students today? With stuff`s like material, with a good talk, while a session or HH review? thanks.

longple    Sweden. Sep 02 2011 10:40. Posts 4472

im up for anything, but in my experince the best way is for the student to record a video and then we go over it together as it often will be alot of gay lagissues/get messy when doing live sweats

I've had 1 session with longple and talked on skype. The time I have spent talking to longple has been positive, he is definitely not a luckbox spewing random stuff. I play mostly 1/2 and some 2/4, my winrates over the years have converged to be over 3.5+BB in FR/6max and higher for HU. So I am not a HS knowledged reg however I am not your typical grinding noob, just a guy much like Longple once was, who struggles with pushing myself to move up. I have only talked to 1 other poker player long term in my life and that is Dzoo. I think because I have talked and done sessions with Dzoo, which were very positive, it helps me compare the time with Longple.

I recommend anyone looking into coaching with Longple to watch his vid and figure out what they need working on. Why I enjoyed talking with Longple is he has a similar poker career as me, except now he has broken out and become very accomplished. It is encouraging to hear his thoughts about the mental aspect of the game and developing stylistic reads on his opponents and how the games are playing up each level. I can't go into great detail because I haven't spent many hours talking but I can tell that he has a better grasp of certain aspects than myself and there is value. He is amicable and helpful outside of poker and I think players will see a return from their investment of money.

As for price, I think that is subjective and comes down to whatever individuals are willing to pay. I believe that coaches in general are expensive and it is up to the student to maximize their time/questions, find a competent, long term winning player and someone who they can afford to spend multiple sessions with. I believe longple fits the criteria from my experience and recommend him.

**
My only downside was our abilities to do Live sessions. For whatever reason, Canada-Sweden we could not keep lag free connection. We both have high quality internet, but our time is limited to recorded material and live skype. I don't think that is much of a downside TBH, because it allowed for longer conversations however that is a heads up.

(you can add this to your main post)

I have learned from poker that being at the table is not a grind, the grind is living and poker is how I pass the time
