Hey whats up LP?

I haven't been active here on LP like I used to be, so I am here to make an effort to get back into the community.

After Black Friday, as many others were, I was confused as to what my next step in life was to be. I debated between getting a 9-5 job using my Marketing degree, enrolling in the Sheriffs academy, grinding live poker and moving out of the country to grind SNE. After making a list of pros and cons for each, grinding SNE was by far the best choice for me financially and logically. My number one focus being that I would earn in 4-5 months grinding SNE, the amount I would make working three years at a 9-5 job.

After an epic failed move to Toronto with a couple of fellow grinders, it was up to myself to be proactive and move to Vancouver (my #1 move choice). After a month of searching, I finally signed the lease for a studio townhouse in Yaletown, right on the harbor and down the street from a couple of sports stadiums.

I moved to Vancouver and started grinding 100nl on July 1st with 132k vpp and achieved 150k vpp grinding 10-11 hours per day for the month. After 452k hands of 100nl-400nl in August, I achieved 500k vpp on the 31st. I am now at 530kish and will be grinding 12+ hours per day to hit SNE by the end of October.

I am highly motivated to finish off SNE to get back to my girlfriend, family and life.

Here are some pics of my place, myself, girlfriend, dog and surroundings:

Welcome back.

Your apartment looks nice, as does the area you live in.

There's still plenty of active posters at LP, so feel free to start posting regularly again, and if you follow MMA, there's new events posted in the General forum every week.

Browsing through your hand histories makes me wonder that you might not be aware these games are possibly play money. Have you ever tried to cash out? - Kapol

nice man, keep up the grind but wtf burn that hat asap

I have learned from poker that being at the table is not a grind, the grind is living and poker is how I pass the time

I find that my day is much more efficient and productive when I am on a strict schedule, so I try to stick to the following as much as possible:

I wake up at 7:40am every morning, make coffee and jump on tables. I grind from 8-12 then take a 30 min lunch break. Back on from 12:30-5 then take another 30 min break. I then grind from 5:30-8, and after take a 1.5 hour break to make dinner, take my dog for a walk, play some NHL and whatever else it is that I please. I then get in a one hour closing day session, sometimes more, all depending how I am feeling mentally and physically. Jump in the shower, be asleep before 12:30am, wake up the next day and do it all over again! lol

I am currently grinding 24 tables of 1/2-2/4nl full ring. I average .50vpps per hand and 1550 hands per hour.

This is a deadly grind, but I am certain it will be worth it in the end.
