It's funny to hear the players always talking about their love of the game, respect for the legends etc... when its painfully clear the only thing they care about is the money. They want 53% of the revenues... what buisness gives 53% of its profits to its workers, greedy bastards, 1 less ferrari a year

actually thats what they ve been offered if i am right. they want 52,5%(53%) though....
anyways you have a point... the ones really suffering from the lockout are those working around the nba.

yeah this situation has def made me lose a lot of respect for many players, glad to see a lot of players saying fuck this and just going to other countries. sucks to see this happen to the nba though, really was looking forward to next season. |

Stern rigged the 2002 playoffs to give the title to the Lakers over the Kings. Guy looks so disgusting/greedy but he made a nice league to bet on |

basketball players are a little harder to replace than workers for most companies.

I dont understand how they will get Revenue share if they are getting salary, that means they are all going to get base salary of like $250k and then % cut of revenue for their contract, so who pays when the team has - year when fans dont go because the team sucks balls |

the average salary of all nba players is 6 million. If that's not a 'big chunk' of profits, I don't know what is. Add on top the owners are the people who are undertaking financial risk by running the organizations. |
