Am i the only one that doesn't understand what the villain is trying to accomplish? Are you supposed to fold AK/AA on the river? |

yeah your the only one. its a decent checkraise spot here to protect their range and punish anyone that valuebets hands like AA. Villian cannot lead with much for value on the river.
They could lead with top of their range for value and bottom of their range as bluffs, but that would leave a lot of the middle of their range checking and being vulnerable to a river bet range from hands like AA.
Or they could checkraise top and bottom of their range+check decide middle of their range, and possibly make it a mistake for longple to bet AA on the river.
