i literally hate the line, cant tell if this is a troll...
minraise preflop is bad, with him in the blinds hes calling/raising most cards here so you are not taking this down preflop with a minraise.
so fold pre/raise properly
calling a 3bet is bad too as your hand is dominated easily and you are against an aggressive fish whos unlikely to fold. you want a hand with more face value and just take him to valuetown rather than trying to out bluff him.
Fold pre fold flop, fold just about anywhere.
the line you've taken really just leaves you pure guessing as to what he has. |

i like preflop raise, if he 3b wide value range and flat weak hands you dominate alot of his flatting range and have position, i dont want him to fold i want him to 3b strong hands and flat weak ones and make mistakes against me ineviteably, henot a fullstack.fold to 3b tho you want value are dominated alot and this is abad semi bluffing hand anyway. As played i prolly flat with the backdoor and pair outs and good odds and play poker on turn. |

What are you trying to accomplish with min-raise pre? He will call you with almost anything on a min-raise and probably 3bet super light to 'protect his blind'. His sizing is way off, but he might not know that. So you've put money in a pot with a weak hand, zero chance to steal blinds and gained almost no information.
On the flop your 3bet means that you want him to fold. However if he folds you stand to gain a lot less than what you will lose if he doesn't. You'll need really good fold equity here to justify that bet. Unless he is playing total fit or fold you're getting yourself into a tough situation.
Floating the flop might be an option, but to be honest I'm not good enough to say. It's probably only a good idea if you believe you can stack him if you hit. That or semi-bluff his check if something comes up to improve your hand.
It just looks like you tried to exploit this player without a good enough read and got in trouble. I wouldn't suggest getting too fancy unless you know exactly what you expect and what you want the opponent to do, then be ready to fold if they do something unexpected. |
