well what would be the advantage between flatting and 3b? Ive always been curious and tbh I don't have any logic behind it except turning your hand into a bluff or making the hand disguised against premium hands.

As a rule of thumb you should 3bet the top of your non calling range, when you decide to 3bet bluff. So if you think you can call T9s profitably but not T7s, then you start 3betting that. 3bet bluffing is always good to balance your valuehands. If your stats/image are not overly crazy a 3bet bluff should be very profitable especially BTN vs CO
