he has less than 1/3 pot left so he's 100% calling river with any kind of pair/bluffcatcher he got there with, just shove don't overthink it. |

Your flop bet size is pretty large, i would not bet more than half pot here.First and foremost you are shrinking villain's calling range making it less likely for him to play back at you or put money in with weak holdings, and in situations where you have aq/ajs/qjs - type of hands you are bet/folding with- ,and because you have created a really big pot on a possible flop call , you will be unable to barrel effectively on pretty much every turn and be forced to c/f. Turn bet size is also way too large..and in contrast river shove is way too small. This means you are allowed to have almost zero bluffs on the river and you will not be able to bet/bet/shove a hand like aq as often as if river was a potsized bet left. So more c/folding for us with hands like aq/aj/a10s/qjs on the turn, which creates problems since 1) we do not realize our equity as often 2) villain realizes his equity more often. One example of the first scenario . we bet the flop with aqo get called, then pot is too big on the turn to shove a gutshot so we check, and villain bets qj and makes us fold. Example of the second scenario. We bet the flop with aqo and villain calls with jj/99/a10 /j10( which is less likely because of bigger flop size but still possible). Pot is then too big on the turn and we check aqo, villain checks. Then we check the river and villain checks and wins at sd. |
