Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light not our darkness that most frightens us and as we let our own lights shine we unconsciously give other people permision to do the same | |

this is what happens when you raise / reraise / keep reraising your good hands for value instead of playing them like this :

thx for the spotlight but I'm pretty sure there's a massive difference in my TT6r with 66 board and this one. I have no dynamic or history with the guy I rep no draws it's not a 3bet pot I miss all the spots that he barels overcard turns and rivers or overpairs and I'm in position. Sure he had 10x and he played it horribly but auto 3 barelling with absolutely no equity as the pfr is one of the biggest leaks regs have and I'm not going to stop them while they make it just because some guy stack off to Fayth for x buy ins in a HU match. Fayth has probably put a ton of pressure to these guys that stack off deep with 0 equity, this just isn't the case with 100nl zoom where with the player pool I'm going to see this guy again after infinite hands if I ever see him again anyway.
If you think raising >> calling give me some sort of reason, this hand isn't a good one because it's in a completely different setting. The fact that in that hand villain had specifically 10x is also not a good reason, but you know all these things anyway so if you don't mind plz explain what you mean |

I mean you are 100% correct on the fact that image makes people pay you off but this is 100nl zoom I could raise flop 5 times in a row and this guy would possibly not even notice it because it would happen in a span of thousands of hands. Just that he didn't even try to valuebet his 10x trips for 3 streets and c/called in my eyes makes the flop raise even worse, this guy would possibly fold his JJ-QQ on the turn after a flop raise.
Whereas if he has airball and turn is a K he might try to bet 3 streets just because the board run good for a bluff. This is the same thing that makes flatting aces pre some times a more +ev than 3betting vs eg an utg raiser who will fold vs aggression preflop (esp with no relevant history) but 3barel very light even super ugly boards for bluffs |
