AQ or 66 maybe? Fold to his raise on flop imo. |

Thanks for input.
I called the flop because i thought he may have been agressive - what with his adrenaline flowing from his large chipstack: reason enough to call?
I had him on A K/J/10 or A6 and never really considered the Q.
In the end he showed QQ for fullhouse. I chose to fold.
Im glad to have got out relativly unscaved. |

People are rarely aggressive with nothing when there's an A on board (they know lots of people might be holding something now).
You didn't come out relatively unscaved. You lost way more than you should have. Your hand improved tremendously on the turn, but it still wasn't good.. this should tell you something. Flop: INSTANT FOLD. Every single time this happens. This is not a situation where you can apply reads. |

"People are rarely aggressive with nothing when there's an A on board (they know lots of people might be holding something now)."
I figured at best he had AX - which would likely be better than my A3. I thought about a possible Q6 after the turn when i bet out and he only called. If he reraised a little here id probably have fallen for it and called. So i managed to escape without losing my entire stack.
Now i realise that the call of the reraise was somewhat reckless. Thanks for the advice. |
