im eliminating all suited connectors from his range when he calls the flop (no texture for it, but keeping the setted pocket pairs (22 and 55) - (reason why he cant have middling pocket pairs is because you are leading into him in a 3 handed pot repping a Q showing strength, or the other guy could have a queen in his mind), along with all reasonable QX hands. Turn changes nothing. His river lead confirms everything. We beat nothing. He cant really ever be bluffing here. His lead is a bet to extract value from worse middling pocket pairs or weaker Qs. He looks boated tho. 55 my guess. pretty clear cut fold. - - sidenote: i looked at his stats, you only have 29 hands on him, not enough of a sample size to bring this into account.
And based on our flop bet/read, we should not be barreling this turn (since his range for calling on the flop is the exact same for the turn) |

On the flop, IP, you can check back the flop. Pot control, disguise your hand, get value from weaker hands on the turn. The flop is dry and we are only worried about an A/K/J turn.
As played, check the turn for pot control and get value on the river.
As played, on the river, I'd just fold. You could easily have a Q, but he doesn't care.
Use your positional advantage to get free cards/ free showdown/make thin value bets/disguise your hand.
Barreling flop/turn/river is fine against a bluff catchy type person who always calls you down light.

player 4 is 43/3/1.1 .Even after only 29 hands this is like 90% a fish.
Since he doesnt look to be on the more aggressive side, this is a monster like all the time, failing to get max value vs your Qx hands.
I just cant see this type of a player doing this with missed draw(34,A3,A4) type of hands and as well not with mid to low pair hands like A5 or A2,he would just check call or check fold.
Fold.
And i prefer to check the turn behind, too. |

Preflop passive and postflop passive are two very different things. I prefer betting turn and doing so a little bigger.
He could have 34, A3, A4 here but he'll also have a ton of Qx, and some FHs. The stronger hands will probably take this line more often. Doubt he's doing this with a medium strength hand, who knows.
My experience and gut says he has it here. But who knows. Check previous hands to see to see if you can get any info.
It is more understandable since it's only 29 hands but people are always just dumping hands with 0 reads just asking what to do, wtf? |

k ty everyone
I called, he had 75o
My reasoning was that most fish raise Qx on the turn (usually a min raise)
Also, I think turn is a super easy value bet, check back is terrible
As barbieman said I might have had a read to make that call |
