well, i guess the reasoning behind this is that he likes to make plays and this betting pattern showed nothing but wanting me out of the pot, forcing it through even tho i could have been calling with anything that beats him.
the lack of respect for my possible hands showed that something was up.

i've made call downs like this with reads like that and hands worse than that before. so i get your reasoning precisely, but this is a super dangerous move. notice the bet size is about 2/3 pot on the turn. looks like a cross between a block and a value bet from JJ/AA + Ad/KK + Kd.

in reality the flop bet was just a CB, but the strength of his hand was increased drastically on the turn picking up a 2nd nuts FD.

i don't think i could ever have a read in online play that i trusted enough to make these calldowns. i've only ever played hands like this in this manner having strong physical reads.
