Can't really lay down tptk unless it's so extremely obvious he's beat, folds to every 3bet except if he has KK, AA. Basically your typical 5NL nit. He's not a fish. He was also playing like 12 tables. |

Well I was calling 1.90 to win 8.22. Can I really fold there? Am I going to be right 1/4 times here? At the time of the call I thought so but am now somewhat 2nd guessing it. Just wanted to see what someone else thought. |

if he's halfway reasonable you should def fold.
you might want to check stove to see if you should even be going for 3 streets of value here - it could be ok if he's really stationy but it seems a bit thin for FR. |

I was extremely surprised he peeled with 99 here to be honest. Hadn't seen him get out of line over about 250 hands. In the heat of the moment I figured pot odds justified a call. Guess I should have gotten away from it. |

you think a full-table reg (usually a nit) is shoving kj here?
I'm also surprised he peeled 99 from your description, but I'd be 5x more surprised if he was bluffing you. |

he says villain is a reg who is a calling station and hasn't gotten out of line in 250 hands, how is it a call? i think it's more of a fold here than it is at mid-stakes, where you'd have to at least consider the possibility that someone is turning some kind of made hand into a bluff. i'd be surprised if he's good more than 10% of the time when villain shoves river. |

baal, i guarantee if you play nl2 and do this play with kj/k10 you'll get schooled vs regs. actually, that's a stupid thing to say - cuz a reg isn't doing this with kj/k10
i played nl2 earlier on in the year (and will most likely play again), you'd be surprised at the nitty ass regs that are living at those stakes. AND this is full-ring.
i'd probably try to throw out a 'chill' bet on the turn, but whatever

anyways - ESPECIALLY at full ring (and also vs competent players at 6max), I definitely don't play this hand for stacks on this board |

How could I have played it better? Check call turn, and then check fold to river shove?
I definitley think it is a fold now, especially at 5NL. There's a lot more regs up here, then at 2NL. I just looked at pot odds, and then called. Only to realize that this guy is never raising KJ here some other random crap here. |

Def bet turn. A lot of his range improved to pair+gut shot and you want to charge him. River play depends on the villan. I guess bet/fold and x/fold are most reasonable according to his stats and some info. I cant really find any worse hands he bets on the river. |
