lol i'm not adam. I'm the adam001 of partypoker
checking obviously makes the hand easier to play. it's tough when you face a raise since it becomes a guessing game to determine whether u should bet/fold or bet/call without already seeing some hands that went to showdown in similar spots.
however, i don't think you should be discouraged to bet just because you'll be faced with tough decision.
When you check, he's not gonna be betting pairs you beat in future streets and it's optimistic to think by checking, u'll get hands to bluff that would've check/folded the flop. By checking, I guess you may get something like 1street of value where else by betting, u can hope for something like 1.5 streets of value.
Also, I wouldn't assume villain would be snap x/shoving all draws. But yea, i think you should take my advice with grain of salt since I don't play the stakes you play. Pot controlling the flop and hoping to get value on turn or river may very well be the best play but even that, it'll be tough to react vs a x/shove since ur perceived range is capped now. |
