this is lighting the money on fire |

Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light not our darkness that most frightens us and as we let our own lights shine we unconsciously give other people permision to do the same

I thought he was going for the flush draw. He was tighter than me, and I'm a nit. |

Everything chris said, and my best advice is don't try to play fancy at low stakes if you want to win (not sure if you just play for fun). Just play your strong hands and get max value. Ez game.
Also, he's probably not that much tighter than you if he's 3betting you with 68o oop def note him on that.
If he was playing nitty, your call is going to be -EV (even though you have position and great pot odds). Your hand against a tight range will have a lot of reverse implied odds, meaning that even if you do hit your top pair you will still be in a marginal spot, because a tight 3b range consists of hands that have yours dominated(AQ, KQ, possibly QJ, and obviously all the monsters JJ+,AK).
Could say moar but 3:30 am and don't really even know what I just typed. |

villain didnt 3bet, he nitted his way into cold calling a 3b w/ 86o |

Browsing through your hand histories makes me wonder that you might not be aware these games are possibly play money. Have you ever tried to cash out? - Kapol

for opening ranges over a decent sample size, maybe; but calling 3bets with QTo multi way is not nitty, its very rare that its good. postflop is just spewing money. no need to get fancy at 4nl, just play rock solid |

How often should I expect to get paid off with a monster? Cause when I have a tight image, everyone folds unless they have a set or more, which then I'm usually beat. |

It was either his first or second time calling. Being that he's 100% aggressive otherwise, I couldn't put him on a monster pre. |

when your notes/stats tell you that someone is only playing big hands pre and play them aggresivly postflop...
you have to do the exact opposite of what you did

They aren't playing only big hands. Just because someone has a very tiny vpip doesn't mean they don't ever bluff. He was polarized.
And I'm not looking to get hit only, I'm looking for a board that doesn't look good to a polarized range. |

or you can fold preflop and control variance and make the +ev play
you are ''drawing'' to a good board
you are also ''hoping'' he has shit
belive me this is way too much button clicking

QFT...nothing really to discuss here. Playing in this manner will result in money being lost over time. You will not be profitable like this.
this is definitely either a monkey tilt play or god forbid: your standard go to in spots like these. |

What about trying to change my image? As I've already posted in this very hand, when I do have it, I never get called down, ever. |
