He 3bets 20% vs steals, it will not be lower vs BU open.
There's 2 fish at the table no way I am leaving just because dude like that to my left.
Folding is never an option preflop. 4Bet is fine but wit his huge 3b% flatting is better as I can play K and J like the nuts.
On the flop with his range the dude made it really big, but I have 16 cards I will continue on on the turn when he bets + he should cf turn some too. I need to take it down on average 29% of the time when I flat flop ignoring implied and reverse implied odds which should be a given with my hand. And implied odds don't go against me when he 3b so wide rly when I hit.
I don't rly like raising on the flop and giving up position and having to fold vs a shove, might do it oop with this hand but not IP so calling is the only option pretty much.
When he check turn he caps his range here, noway he cc AJ+on a board this drawy so he got a lot of weaker Jx 88-TT maybe some A6 A A7s that he 3b pre with - so my hands are tied I need to bet cause there's value, no point in giving a freecard+I rep bluffs well
On the river only thing that beats me is 88 which he should bet the turn some - say half the time aggro reg will bet it half the time cc? So I am beat by 3 combinations and he only has to call 3 combinations of AXs 99 TT Jx for the shove to be correct.
There's not many 8x in my range anyway, maybe a few 88 combos rly but I check that behind OTT a good amount and I bet 100% 8X I floated flop with apart from maybe 78s that I check some? Plus people expect you to raise sets on the flop alot since its so drawy and also discount them when you shove on 1 straight board even tho the shove is right with all sets. From bluffs I can have FDs guess I can turn stuff into bluff as well like weak pairs since his range is face up.
So yeah, this hand every street is just a setup, my hands are tied just played it ABC |

i think raising flop is still a legit option you should consider, esp. since hes 3b 20% vs steals, assuming hes not just jamming over with like A6 no spade or something. also because this is the type of board where regs will barrel turn a lot, dunno if its true at 16nl but i assume these days it is. |

ye dunno don't have that in my game much, bad players randomly spazz vs that with A highs never fold overpairs and what not and against good players it's just easier to flat everything on flop.
Plus if good reg barrels thats fine with this hand as he just increases the equity of your 6 made hand outs and you always have the option of shoving turn on Xd cards (even tho I prefer a flat OTT but if smn barrel air on turn guess shove can be good) |
