K68r seems like a mandatory bet in a 3 bet pot oop. If he's checking, he better have a reason to. Game flow / Read dependent? Call or fold.

no it isn't at least from what I got from watching high stakes people check quite a bit on these boards.
Here we block KQ QQ some but we still have 99-TT (JJ) some KTs K9s, A9s some A9o combos if he 3b wide. It'll be close I wouldn't call 100% of my range here, XXdd can take the line some but Kx is a bad bluff card.
You need to look at both ranges closer to decide, this hand will be always close cause of the blockers
93% Sure!

Pappe is Joep van den Bijgaart, most well known from this hand:
If you shove he probably folds bottom fh
In all seriousness the problem I think is that your hand pretty much looks exactly what it is after the turn and he's not supposed to bet complete air here but if you two are on a higher level this could easily be a call.
Look at his hand and equities, what do you expect him to have here, uno cards? - TianYuan
Sick spot, I'd rather just bet flop myself than x back here if I'm unsure of the guy tendencies which is usually the case, I think about it like if I 3b w your hand Q8 and then get this flop, would I check or cbet, and I'd most likely cbet to get hands w equity to fold and to potentiall turn my hand into bluff if need be.
Now I'm just lost but lean towards a fold.

calls large 3b with Q8s, flops 2nd pair, opponent doesnt bet all 3 streets and we are confused on a good runout. conclusion: dont call a 3bet that isnt tiny with Q8s when raising from cutoff or earlier.
i fold

i realize that, he still 4x'ed our raise. if he made it 24-28 sure you have to call a bit more and get a better price, but 32 is enough to limit my calling range to like KTs QTs+ JTs T9s 98s and gets me to fold K9s- Q9s- J9s- T8s- etc

I assume minraise will be loose on CO so like 30% hands? 400 combos (30.17%)
Need to defend 32%+as we call a good amount he's gonna realize equity with bottom of his range - say around 44% ish defend should be more than enough? dem 45s-87s and A2s-A5s can be 4b (or can use 44-66 as you please).
Yeah so prolly not that much need to call Q8s unless we are aware of his postflop leaks in 3b pots/know his play well an or he 3b way too much - doesn't seem like it since we had to ask about this spot
