I assumed he had JJ/QQ/KK/AA or maybe AK/TT because he called my 3bet (after one guy called), but then he had a flush and straight draw which made him favoured 51,5% to 48,5% on the allin. Should I be afraid of AA here? And his preflop play was pretty bad, right? (he played 11/7 hands over 123 hands)

you know i think this is a serioysly damaging mindset that would greatly harm his development as a player.

it doesnt matter if its nl2 or nl50 or nl200, he should always think carefully about the situation, opponents ranges and blah blah. Of course in nl2 players often tend to be so goofy that overpair is always good, but that's something he should find out by observing other players and trying to understand how they play the game. If he just plays with robotic "nl2, overpair => allin" -thoughtprocess he will never learn to actually play poker.

i think i wasted a lot of time not learning the game at all because of that.
