I definitely call. And without hesitation. And if we're beat, fuck it, next hand.

wow. i mean i have a feeling he has 68/63/A3 a shitload. J7 is basically the same as JJ here but i think they are likely both a fold

his fish comment on the flop combined with limping and a massive river raise make me think he had either a gutshot that got there or A3 that just kept calling.

I did consider a3, but whatever. I call anyway. Daut, you mean to tell me you find a fold here? Really?

Btw, wtf daut. Stop being so smart at poker dammit. You make me feel like a mental midget when you post your poker insights.

I folded. I think his raise is too big to be a bluff or a weaker 2p. I would never fold JJ though lol, I think he can have 55/22 aswell and even 44 (though he most likely raises that eariler)

Daut    United States. Mar 19 2014 13:38. Posts 8955

yea i guess the small sets are possible but it feels like they just continue calling when you bet a large amount compared to their usual betsizes. JJ may be a call

Yeah I was gonna say this, a fish is def capable of playing a set like this so folding JJ would be out of the question. I'd fold this hand though but feel sick because fish randomness.

Btw what is he writing on the chat? lol. Also I'm pretty sure I'd c/raise this hand, anything that will call 3 barells will probably bet somewhere

I'd still bet at least 8 beer that you had the best hand.

jj 'may' be a call? wtf is going on in this world. I sometimes feel like the hand advice column is more of a disney wonderland, and not applicable to when people are sitting there actually playing.

You'll notice locoo and Daut agree on folding. Sometimes I've seen someone post a hand where this same ppl go like "yeah easy call" with 3rd pair or smth and I'm like WTF. Shows how much we still have to learn to be good at this

Folding here seems pretty bad, If he turns up with the nuts like A3 he should have a pretty wide continuing range on the flop and its not far fetched to think that he is raising some of the non-nutted part of that range as well on the river like pure air, worse two pair or limped overpairs. His raising range on the river should be wide enough because the range of the hands he gets to the river with should be wide enough if he is floating a3 on the flop as suggested above. You can't just have it both ways, floating tons of air with backdoor equity on the flop then only expecting to see 2-3 nutted combos when u get raised on the river.

Daut    United States. Mar 19 2014 18:22. Posts 8955

the key is that he raised the river big. i just dont see some fish thats limping the button deciding to raise the river huge after facing 3 barrels as a bluff more than a trivial percentage of the time.

if we had checked and he potted i wouldnt be surprised to see stuff like A6 98 or other missed crap he floated on the flop and called the turn with, but when we bet and he just bombs i believe he has some sort of "it". playing anything close to GTO against someone like this is just throwing money away in lots of instances. sure he might reach the river with some missed draws as well as his 68/63/A3, but he needs to do something other than auto muck them a decent amount of the time when he pots over our bet and i dont believe that.

from experience, i kinda expect fish to either call or to make it 13-15 here on the river with sets/2pair which is why i figured JJ=J7 here. not like it matters anyway, we never have JJ when we dont raise.

looks like a pretty easy fold to me
don't think he's going to be bluffing enough in this spot
most of the time its stone cold nuts but he could have any straight and sets, 1 zillion combos that he can have that beat you

also, I like to ovebet the flop since it's a limped pot, fishs always call light anyway

Dont listen to anything I say

exactly why i taunt fold a lot in those spots and start playing super wide vs him until regs catch up and start 3betting me to the point it becomes retarded and i stack one of them continued by quadrupling up the fish afterwards

its a fold even vs a minraise

the fish is never ever ever bluffing after chatting like that

it makes it easier if you have stats, them pop up thingys, if u have sample size, and check aggression on river, if its super low, then its an even clearer fold, but im guessing getting a big sample size on zoom, s a fish at that is kinda unlikely!!

minraise has stupid crap like AA, but yeah... he thinks he has the nuts here always
