Was it okay to call the all-in? I think odds-wise I am drawing a little bit thin.. What do you guys think?

If the tables tight, that's even more of a reason to dump A9s to a 3bet

aside from folding pre, shove flop. we'd rather have fold equity than call vs something that might have us beat but will fold to a raise (like AKo)

That's a very good thinking! Still playing a bit too timid sometimes.

Good job on listening to the advice I (and everyone else) gave regarding bankroll management... and everything else.

Best of luck man. Hope you hit a massive heater while moving up stakes like a champ.

Ahh, truly sorry guys... I have 1200 (24 buy-ins for 50NL) in the BR currently, I know it is still a bit shy.

the reason why I decided to deposit more is that my site did not have 20NL running constantly (2 tables max), and I wanted to get some practice on more tables. So I decided to deposit more just so I get enough to not get scared..

I play on a website that uses bitcoins, and I happened to have half of one lying around, so I deposited into the site today (boosted my BR from 800 to 1200). For some reason I thought this was a good idea to move up a stake like that so I can get more tables in (no one plays 20NL there).

I will move down the stakes immediately.

sorry guys I didn't really mean to. I really cherish every single advice I get on here, and I really don't want to make you guys mad. I will do everything you guys say to get better at poker. and I mean it. If I weren't serious I wouldn't PM you last time Devon. Last time you asked me why I mix 6max and full ring, I explain that there wasn't enough tables for 6max sometimes so I play 9max. This time the same, but with the stakes. There were just not enough people to play 20NL with.. I would probably have to grind up to like 30-40 buy-ins for 50NL in 10NL, which is a lot of time investment. And for some stupid reason I thought it was a good idea to put more capital into the bankroll to make it 20+ buy-ins for 50NL, then if I hit back down to like 800-900 ish I will move back down to 10NL immediately.

Sorry

lol well you don't have to apologize for moving up, i mean it's your money you can do what you want with it. just it's probably not a good idea to move up until you make enough at the lower levels to know you are a winner there. i don't know anything about the seals pokersite but can't you play bovada, merge, revolution, or whatever other sites are still open to US players?

btw i dont think there's anything wrong with taking a shot at 50nl w/1200 assuming you grinded it up, is there enough tables if you combine 20nl and 10nl? if you can just do that and pretend you didn't deposit the extra 400, it sucks but if you belong at 50nl it won't take too much longer grinding the lower levels w/800 roll.

I live in a state where weed is legal but not online poker I used to play on bovada a bit but I don't think I can ever cash out ever if I don't move out of the state.

Most of the time there are almost no 20NL running, 2 tables on a good day. So it was kinda tough to not stuck at 10NL for majority of the time, if I want to do like a 30-BI bankroll. So I decided to bite the bullet and see if I can move up with the extra 500. If I am not good for 50NL, I will suck it up and move back down. I think mentally I am not that weak to take a downswing. So I figured I could try to use 24 buy-ins for 50NL and try it out for a bit.

This. I assumed you were playing nl50 with ~250 or whatever it was last time I read your blog (I remember your graph was basically straight except for a few pots won at nl50).

Anyways, sounds like you're doing pretty well. I wouldn't advise depositing more money to move up stakes - that can create BAD habits which could cost you a lot of money in the long term. I find if you grind up from the penny stakes, you tend to respect the value of the dollars earned (and don't monkey spew as much heh) much more.

I don't really know what I'd do in your position, being unable to find a decent number of tables to play. That sucks man.

There's gotta be more sites to play on than just sealswithclubs? I really don't know, there's gotta be some threads on liquidpoker about sites Americans can play on.
