i think you should continue by calling the turn. your ten might be good, and having a gutshot certainly helps. this can be a lot of draws and yes, it can have some weaker Ax hands that turned two pair or floated the flop, but the price isn't terrible and the ace is a good scare card to throw you off, since its unlikely you called with a weak ace in middle position, and didnt raise with a bigger ace, yourself.

Yeah I see now that the price is pretty OK, I'm just thinking isn't it pretty risky for him to play this hand unless he has 2pair (AT A9 A7) since the risk of me having it is big (because I called 2xBB bet pre, thats a possibility with A9 AT right?) which means he probably has a 2 pair hand (or at least an ace?) to have the balls to do it? Or does his check on flop contradict that? But what do I do here if his turn bet is 2/3 pot instead?

And then if I call 0.12 (looks like a value bet for his A7 A9 that he didn't want to bet on flop because scary T showed up) and the only thing doing anything for me would be an 8 or J (7 outs) I have a hard time feeling I can get any value from it since he will understand I hit straight (and then the 0.12 isn't even good) and he will just fold to any bets on river. As well as the times he sits on JQ here.

His turn bet looks like a valuebet which scares me as well. I'm not telling you that you are wrong (obviously) just thinking loudly and appreciate all the help.

New player, advice appreciated
